This summer has been an exceptionally busy one. Many trips out of town for baseball tournaments, a family reunion with loved ones from three to 78 years old, and the transition to an empty nest with college for my youngest son filled our days with joy and sorrow. Many times these two emotions came hand in hand with the wins and losses, new life and passing life, and bittersweet pride as I kiss my freshman goodbye. Keeping ourselves open to the richness of our feeling life, without judging whether things are “bad” or “good” keeps us in the moment and brings us to our fullest humanity – the palpable expression of our inner light. Shine On!
